The Golden Triangle Tour of northern India covers the most famous tourist icons on the subcontinent. Period. Delhi, for example, is not just the capitol of India it embraces virtually the entire history of the country. The area has been inhabited since 2,000 BCE and many of the magnificent edifices to be seen date from the Mogul period right through the British Raj. In addition to ancient forts, palaces and world-class museums, Delhi has some of the very best shopping in the whole country offering art, antiques and handicrafts from every state in the land.
Agra, with the iconic Taj Mahal, the stunning Agra Fort and Fatepur Sikri, has a very long list of other world famous places to see. The precise stone inlays on the Taj Mahal famously glow during a full Moon and appear to float unconnected from the building itself. Truly a place for lovers to enjoy.
Jaipur is the capitol of the state of Rajastan and boasts a plethora of architecture that is perhaps the most characteristic of India. Many of the buildings here are what people think of when they think of India. Jaipur is simply gorgeous.

ITINERARY:
Day 01
Arrive New Delhi, India. Our representative greets you at the Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfers your party to the hotel. After a rest, visit the new, opened 2005, and incredibly spectacular Swaminarayan Akshardham, a gigantic Hindu temple complex with stunning exhibitions. Overnight at hotel
Day 02
After breakfast we go on a guided city tour of Delhi visiting the historic Red fort, Jama Masjid (The Largest Mosque in India), India Gate, the Parliament and President house, Drive through the diplomatic area, Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple and more. Evening to relax at the hotel or enjoy shopping at Dilli Haat. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03
Delhi to Agra, 205 kms about a 4 hours by automobile. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and leave for Agra (the city of Love), on arrival check into the hotel. In the evening enjoy "Mohabbat", the Taj Show. The Sanskritik Natyashala presents a beautiful dance performance depicting the love story between the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Mughal era. Return to hotel after the performance.
Day 04
After breakfast we go on a guided tour of Agra visiting the world famous, and true wonder of the world , the Taj Mahal itself. Built by Shah Jehan in the 17th entury as a mausoleum for his beloved Mumtaz, the Taj Mahal is the preeminent example of Mughal architecture. We also visit the historic Agra fort the colorful city bazaar. Note: the Taj Mahal is closed to the public every Friday. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05
We leave for Jaipur after breakfast, about 245 kilometers and 5 hours. The whole trip passes through through classic Indian countryside and whilst en route we stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the now abandoned capitol of the immense Mughal empire from 1571 to 1585. From here we continue to Jaipur and check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or possibly taking in the fabulous shopping opportunities for traditional and modern jewelry in town. Overnight at hotel
Day 06
Morning in Jaipur. After breakfast an excursion to Amber fort, where you will enjoy an elephant ride to reach the top of the fort; then we visit the Jagmandir, the chamber of glittering mirrors and the temple of Goddess Kali. Later, continue sightseeing in the Royal Pink City visiting the Royal City Palace, Hawa Mahal and the extraordinary Jantar Mantar an actual astronomic observatory built in the early 18th century. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel
Day 07
Early morning leave for Delhi, approximately 6 hours (265 km) to connect to air service elsewhere
